Caitlin Kelly is a freelance multimedia journalist based in Dakar, Senegal. In the past year, she has shot and reported from South Sudan, Chad, Sierra Leone, Senegal, and The Gambia, focusing on human rights, conflict and humanitarian crises. She writes, shoots photo and video and edits for The Associated Press as well as functioning as the West Africa Correspondent for France24.  Caitlin has also shot for National Geographic, The Guardian, NPR, Al Jazeera, CBC News, The National, and The I Paper. ​

Before moving to West Africa, she covered the Israel-Palestine file from Jerusalem and reported from East Africa.
